Sony — tested cameras

ShutterPin has been tested with Sony α1 (ILCE-1) and ZV-E1. Other Sony cameras are evaluated using the location services and characteristic properties they expose over Bluetooth. The presence of a model name in a manufacturer's compatibility list is not a ShutterPin hardware test.

Canon — preview implementation

New test builds include Canon EOS smartphone pairing and camera-controlled GPS activation. Protocol and failure-path tests have passed; physical-camera validation is still pending. This is not a claim that all Canon models work. Cameras in Bluetooth remote mode may not expose GPS.

Fujifilm, Ricoh, Nikon, Panasonic and other cameras

Direct Bluetooth support is being evaluated and is not yet advertised as verified support. You can record or import a GPX track, inspect the place and time on a map, and select photos for location matching. Photo format support and a correct capture timestamp are required.

Before shooting

Pair inside ShutterPin and confirm prompts on the camera and phone.
Check both Bluetooth connection and a recent location-transfer confirmation. A Bluetooth connection alone does not prove that photo GPS metadata was written.
Another phone or the manufacturer's app may hold the camera's location connection.
Menu names, firmware, Bluetooth remote compatibility and background behavior vary by camera.
Android can maintain independent camera connections. The current iPhone connection path uses one active camera at a time; registering several cameras does not promise simultaneous iPhone transfers.
